Overview
PriceErrors is built with your privacy in mind. We collect only what's necessary to make the app work, we don't sell your data, and we don't run ads.
What We Collect
When you sign in with Apple or email, we receive your name and email address (or Apple's private relay email if you choose to hide it). This is used solely to identify your account.
We store your saved deals and category preferences so they sync across your devices.
We store your device's push notification token to deliver deal alerts.
User-Posted Deals (Community)
If you post a deal on the Community page, we store the content you submit — including the deal title, description, price, category, brand, and any link you provide — along with your user ID and display name.
This content is publicly visible to all users of the app. Do not include personal information (phone numbers, addresses, private contact details) in deal posts.
We screen submitted content for prohibited material before it is published. You can delete your own posts at any time from your Profile page.
What We Don't Collect
We do not collect your location.
We do not track your browsing or purchase behavior outside the app.
We do not use advertising SDKs or analytics that profile you.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
How Your Data Is Stored
Your account data is stored securely in Supabase, a hosted database platform. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from the Help & Support page.
Push Notifications
If you grant notification permission, we send deal alerts via Apple Push Notification service (APNs). Your device token is stored on our server solely to deliver these notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your iPhone Settings.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Help & Support → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, saved deals, preferences, and any community posts you have made.
Children's Privacy
PriceErrors is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
